So what do you expect from a typical graphic designer? They design graphics I hear you think. Well, you'd be absolutely right. Graphic Design is one discipline within the field of design.

As a business, you'll probably need to touch on other disciplines with the field, such as Web Design. Graphic design and Web Design are completely different in terms of the types of people that can effectively perform these functions, never mind be talented in them.

But at the same time, they go hand in hand. You need the website to look good and reflect your brand, so it has to be designed well and be consistent with your other marketing, but it also has to be functional.

On top of all this, you must consider how all of this fits into you overall marketing strategy and your business plan. How do you plan to communicate with your customers and prospects and what do you need to do in order to achieve that?

Bringing this all together will really help you to focus on your marketing, and with that focus you are much more likely to be successful!
